VISION
These statements represent the vision of the faculty, staff, administration and parents who make up the technology planning committee:
Technology is used to enhance all facets of the educational experience throughout the St. John Regional Catholic School community (SJRCS).
Each staff member has access to appropriate job technology. Training is available to all faculty and staff to develop the necessary skills to incorporate technology.
The utilization of electronic reference resources is actively integrated into the curricula of SJRCS.
Each student will have access to technology tools. Students are actively integrating technology in class work and homework activities. Student information technology skills are developed by class instruction using the Archdiocese of Baltimore (AOB) Catholic School Course of Study.
Faculty and staff utilize technology resources available to improve efficiency of performed administrative tasks (report cards, interim reports, memo responses, attendance records, voice mail, correspondence, etc.).
A standard operating environment for users will be provided. Maintenance of hardware, software and network systems, as well as encumberments for future upgrades and replacement, to be supported by the annual operating budget.
Parents utilize technology resources to communicate with teachers and staff concerning student performance reports, school schedules, attendance, delays, and cancellation notices.
Personal privacy for teachers, students and parents will be protected by security measures at all times.

2. Each staff and faculty member has access to appropriate job technology and develops skills necessary to incorporate technology:

A dedicated standard workstation per full time administrator, guidance counselor, support staff, and faculty

EVALUATION
Technology Plan:
Each year the SJRCS Technology Plan will be evaluated by the SJRCS Technology Committee. The Committee will ensure that SJRCS’ technology goals are being met and will make updates where needed.
Teacher Progress:
Teachers will make technology goals as part of their professional development each year. The principal will evaluate the success of their goals in their teacher evaluation. Teacher progress will also be measured in surveys and observation of the Technology Coordinator and Computer Teacher.
Student Progress:
Student progress will be measured through the SJRCS Computer Teacher and their academic teachers. Administration will also measure student progress through outside observation.
