The Home and School Association (H.S.A.) is a parent support organization. All families are encouraged to attend the H.S.A. meetings and to participate in its sponsored functions. They also urge all parents to be involved in their children’s education by supporting the volunteer efforts of the Home and School Association.
The role of the H.S.A. is two-fold. First, the H.S.A. provides the volunteers that organize and coordinate many community-building and fundraising activities. The second role of the H.S.A. is to provide fundraising income for the school. Each year, the H.S.A. make a significant monetary contribution to the school’s operating budget. This helps to close the gap between tuition and the actual cost of the SJRCS education.
H.S.A. Mission – Work to promote open communication, good will and cooperation between and among students, parents, administrative staff, faculty and other affiliated parties. Work to form and support a strong family-centered environment through social and community activities. Work to support the educational and social needs of the students by promoting and sponsoring various fundraising activities.

Volunteer Opportunities
The HSA provides the volunteers that organize and coordinate many community-building and fundraising activities. Some of these activities include Children’s Bingo, Spaghetti Dinner, candy sale, book fair, Breakfast with Santa, and the Spring Fair/Auction. They also provide volunteers for some of the necessary daily functions at school such as lunch and recess duty.
