Congratulations Class of 2010

Sixty eighth grade students graduated from St. John's on June 4th. A baccalaureate Mass was celebrated at the school by Rev. Dan Goulet, associate pastor, St. John the Evangelist Church, assisted by Fr. Andy Aaron, pastor, St. Timothy's; Fr. Michael Jendrek, pastor, St. Ignatius of Loyola; Fr. Lawrence Frazier, pastor, St. Joseph-on-Carrollton-Manor; Fr. Keith Boisvert, pastor, St. Katharine Drexel, and Deacon Jeff Sutterman. The Mass was followed by a graduation and awards ceremony. Mrs. Karen Smith, principal, presented awards and certificates to the students and was assisted by Mr. Paul Fer, assistant principal, Mrs. Sue Mallak and Mrs. Ethel Brauer, both eighth grade teachers. The Valedictorian was Kathryn Tighe and the Salutatorian was Domenica Iocco. Caroline Florenzo received the principal's Spirit Award and Ashley Tolino received the Catholic Girl award from Eileen Borowski, Catholic Daughters of America. The 2010 Distinguished Graduate honoree was Dr. James P. Ganley, class of 1951.
