2007 – 08 Annual Fund Campaign

Our school is fortunate to have a loyal community of parents, grandparents, friends and alumni who continue to be supportive of the quality education we provide here at St. John Regional Catholic School.  As we begin our third year in the new facility, our students have benefitted tremendously from those who have given generously to the Annual Fund Campaign.
      
This year, money raised from the fund will help provide additional computer technology for our classrooms that is so vitally needed. Currently, 600 students use one computer lab classroom for the purpose of computer instruction as well as classroom projects for various subjects. Due to the number of students using the computers on a regular basis, their lab time is limited to finish their projects.  Teachers need the ability to accommodate students in their classrooms on a computer during class time.  As many as 30 laptop computers on a wireless cart are necessary to assist a full class of students.  The cart would be portable so that the entire student body could be served on a rotating basis.

With increased enrollment comes the need for additional technology resources for St. John students.  The strategic plan set forth by the Archdiocese of Baltimore for its schools states, “Technology appropriately integrated into all levels of the educational environment provides educators and learners with diverse techniques to plumb new depths of education in order to assure optimum learning experience for all in the school community.”  With this in mind, we ask your assistance in helping to meet our Annual Fund goal of $35,000 to benefit the computer technology needs of our school.

The Annual Fund Campaign runs through June 30, 2008 and all contributions are fully tax-deductible.  If your company will match your contribution to St. John Regional Catholic School, please submit a matching gift form provided by your employer.
