Catholic leaders award local teacher by Frederick News Post

Liz O'Donoghue of St. John Regional Catholic School won the Archdiocese of Baltimore's 2013 Teaching Excellence Award on Aug. 6, St. John's marketing director Sheila Evers said. O'Donoghue, a religion and church history instructor, has worked at St. John's for 13 years. In addition to teaching, O'Donoghue took on a leadership role as the adviser for Light of Hope, a community service club for fifth- through eighth-graders.

 She was named St. John's Catholic Teacher of the Year in 2011 by the St. Katharine Drexel Knights of Columbus.
